Day 2: And life goes on...

It's day two and work was not nearly as horrible as I thought it would be.  It seems as if the birthday party mom I worked with today was a blessing in surprise. She was by far the nicest woman I had ever had the pleasure of running into and working with at my workplace. She helped make what what was to be a dreadful workday, an easily tolerable day. My moment of happiness however, was not this woman. It was something much stranger. It was a little piece of happiness in the disguise of "crockpot cheesey beans." My amazing coworker was sweet enough to bring a crockpot into work, filled with a mixture of cheese and two different kinds of refried beans, for everyone to enjoy on a busy Saturday. To me, this crockpot full of beans and cheese allowed me to push through the long work day and keep a smile and a look of optimism on my face. Today, the crockpot of beans proved that it truly is the little things in life that make you happy. Tomorrow, I hope to find another glimpse of happiness. Perhaps one in disguise as something as strange as a crockpot of beans.

Until tomorrow,

Kayleigh
